Sponsorship Packages

Our range of sponsorship packages supports this unique meeting of minds and gathering of international delegates. Sponsorship covers food and meeting spaces, keeping conference fees to a minimum. Sponsorship also supports limited travel grants and the LODLAM Challenge, which last time drew nearly 20 entrants from around the world–with 5 finalists receiving travel grants. Sponsors get great visibility throughout the Summit season and most send representatives to participate as delegates.

For questions about sponsorships, please contact Ingrid Mason or Jon Voss.

What is LODLAM?

LODLAM is Linked Open Data in Libraries, Archives and Museums. A confluence of legal tools and web standards that enables the World Wide Web to grow from a web of documents to a web of data. Many libraries, archives, and museums are major repositories of cultural, scientific and government data, and in recent years, these institutions have taken leadership roles in openly sharing that data for the public to use, reuse, and build upon. Developing Linked Open Data as an approach to providing access offers enormous opportunities in research, publishing, and the consumption of currently disparate datasets.

Who attends?

The LODLAM Summit draws a very international and diverse range of administrators, developers, technologists, academics and practitioners working on and exploring a wide variety of issues relevant to Linked Open Data and its increasing adoption and opportunities for collaboration. Over 100 people representing 85 institutions from 17 countries attended the inaugural Summit in 2011 in San Francisco, and in regional meetups. In 2013 over 125 people representing 120 institutions from 17 countries attended the Summit in Montreal at the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec. These are decision makers and leaders in their field who utilize this intimate setting to establish working partnerships, standards, and strategy.
