There are plenty of transport services information for Sydney CBD and beyond. Sydneysiders and visitors use an Opal card to get around on public transport buses, trains, and ferries. The easiest and cheapest way to get from Sydney international airport to the city is by train: Airport Link. It is possible to buy a ticket with a credit card or cash at the airport station. The route takes you directly into the city, to the Central Station, and onto Wynyard (the Travelodge Wynyard is right above the Wynyard train station).

- Opal card (can be used on all Sydney public transport). There are plenty of retailers newsagents, petrol stations, local corner stores and select Woolworths stores. Importantly, a card needs to be bought and charged up with funds, before you get onto transport services.

Taxis can be waved down off the street, and they have a light on top, if they are available for a fare. There are taxi ranks around Sydney that might come in handy.
