Title: Corbicula
Team: Corbicula

Short Description

Corbicula is a gateway application, for automating the publication of Linked Open Data from Collection Management Systems.

Corbicula uses OAI-PMH to extract data from Collection Management Systems, XSLT transformations to convert the metadata records to RDF graphs, and the SPARQL Graph Store protocol to store the data in a SPARQL store, for where it is published as Linked Open Data.

Corbicula was originally written as a set of command-line scripts, but is now being redeveloped as a web application, for ease of hosting and administration.

Brilliant and easy to follow description of OAI-PMH and web harvesting. Looking forward to seeing Corbicula in action.

Corbicula is just what we all need, a process rather than an app that will take us all from A to B on the LODLAM journey. It’s about legacy data and helping us all get ready for the semantic web. I can’t say enough about how vital this kind of infrastructure is :)

Great introductory video – I’ll be watching Corbicula development and test cases with interest!
